Well, folks, BlogDJ trivia #1 has been solved - many wonderful human beings combined to come up with the necessary songs and artists to make this a happy experience.
For fellow forum merryman, Mike Merz, we'll dive into the late 70's this time. The hint for BlogDJ trivia #2 is September 1979 - 20 songs in all - and, whatever you do, DO NOT peek at the comments, where people are leaving their answers. You're on the honor system - you've been warned! :-)

Well, Dave ... seeing as you went to the trouble of putting this together with me in mind, the least I can do is take the first crack at it (disclaimer - I was not into disco or pop very heavily at the time).

Mike - 13/20, plus 3 half credits (#9, #14, #20). #4 is tough (Top 20 song though), #12 is also a Top 20 song from an easy artist, you should slap yourself for not getting #13, and #18 is, yes, another Top 20 song, but someone our age should get it) :-) - D.
